My fav place in Mangalore — Cherry Square

Been visiting this place from time immemorial. My visit to Mangalore is never complete without a visit here — at least once, at times even more. I usually come here with my friends Dr. Malcolm Pinto or Thimmaiah. So what's so special about this place? The calmness I think. It just gives you that calmness to spend some nice time with your close ones and share your thoughts and discuss things happening in our lives.

As far as food here is concerned, they have got great sandwiches, snacks and ice creams. Do try 'Some like it hot' — it's a sizzler ice cream and it's amazing. Ambiance is simple and great! They have got this open space as well as a closed AC one. I usually prefer the open one. It's got that nice aesthetics with good music as well. Music is one of the important things for me in restaurants — they better be good. Hospitality is also good. The waiters won't bother you unless you call them, which is what I like actually. But if you are in a hurry to have some food, make sure they are aware of the same.

They have great burgers and sandwiches (whose names I don't exactly remember) but they are all good — so safely order any. Got a list of sundaes as well and all are amazing. Prices are very reasonable and it won't burn your pocket for sure.

Overall, visit this place for the experience itself and don't expect too much. Just a calm nice place to chat for hours with your dear ones. Many of my colleagues ask for a list of places to visit in Mangalore before they plan a trip here. I make sure that I include this favourite place of mine.
